Bento Box #2

 From Top:
Great for a Family Room or Study!
1. Kravet "Ikat Weave"  Camel,Teal and Berry.  This is a Heavy Duty fabric that would work well on upholstered furniture and  accent pillows. Ikat designs are very popular now and can cross  the barrier from  the "Traditional" to the "Contemporary" style.
2. Schumacher  "Taylor Weave Linen Weave"  Camel.  This is also Heavy Duty and can be used for upholstery or  light weight enough for window treatments .
3. Schumacher "Belvedere Weave" Berry This is a medium duty fabric to be used for window treatments, occasional pieces or accent pillows. You could upholster a sofa in this, but with children and pets I always prefer a Heavy Duty fabric.
4. Kravet "Versailles Velvet" Teal . This is also  a Heavy Duty fabric that can work on  upholstery as well as window treatments.
I was drawn to this combo because Teal is back! The light aqua we have been embracing lately is starting to darken in hue.
Paint colors for this combo would be Benjamin Moore HC-34 Wilmington Tan or  Benjamin Moore 2136-40  Oregon Teal.  If you're more of a neutral person, Benjamin Moore HC-27 Monterey White for the walls--If not use it for the Trim and Ceiling color.

Susan's House Tour

House

Chess Table in Family Room
 Living Room

Susan's Desk Area

Susan's house was on a House Tour in Westchester County, NY recently.  We worked together on this home for 4 years. She was fortunate to inherit several antique pieces from her parents.  If your parents are giving up furnishings, it pays to take it.  It can always be re-upholstered, painted, stripped , re-framed, updated---you name it.  The best part is it's FREE.
The Powder Room mirror and sink cabinet are antiques from her parents . On the cabinet top,we added the vessel sink .  The marble top had to be drilled for the drain and  the walls were painted by a local artist.
The Family Room was done  in the Adirondack style.  It is meant to be used by all 5 of her children and it does get used! The sectional is done is an Ultrasuede and chairs in leather.  The drapery fabric is Lee Jofa "Stucco Damask" .
The Living Room is done in Nobilis fabrics and has a piano from her parents.
The Library furnishings are re-upholstered in Osborne and Little fabrics.
All the carpets in the home are orientals, which are very durable for family life.
