Rob's River House

Rob's River House Part 1
When Rob called me to rescue his 1800's Hudson River house, I saw that the current dreary interior choices were smothering the commanding river views the house was privileged to have. Together, we decided to bring the home into the 21st century and quickly went to work on the redo. We selected an updated color scheme that complimented the views and gave the home a "happy" feeling.
We did the 3 Main Rooms in pale blues, warm creams and aqua.  The tansformation was not only uplifting, but made the rooms more inviting.  The antique pieces also came alive in their new environments.
Since Rob entertains frequently, we created two seating arrangements in the Living Room and purchased ten dining chairs to accomadate his frequent dinner guests.
Take a look!

That diningroom is to die for and the livingroom looks really cozy. What a great staircase in the entry.

What a gorgeous house! The devil is in the details, I especially like the transformation of the walls in the dining room; amazing how a mural and a simplified mirror can change the tone of an entire room.
